The Inn consists of two houses. One house is built
fully equipped (two floors/ 260 square meters) with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, livingroom, kitchen and
a 90 square meters terrace.
The other house (
one floor) have 5 rentable double rooms and a nice restaurant with a good kitchen. The rooms have air conditioning, fans and bath with cold and hot water.
The rooms hold a
high standard. Nevertheless, we offer
very reasonable prices.
The restaurant offers both western and eastern food, also at reasonable price. You pay in cash (local currency, US dollars, Euros, GBP or NOK).
The Kalutara area is outside the Malaria mosquito area.
A daily breeze makes your stay comfortable even on the hottest days. The Kalutara area is also a perfect starting point for visiting other interesting places on the beautiful Island, like Colombo, Kandy, Hikkaduwa and Galle. We can arrange 1-2-3 day tours with A/C van, driver/guide and hotels.
Kalutara town, Kalutara South ( only 1 km from Petter’s Beach Inn) is a typical middle sized Sri Lanka town that offers possibilities and insight in the real life in a Sri Lanka town. In the Kalutara area there is not much tourism.
To find Petters’s Beach Inn you can choose the train, a bus along Galle Road or a taxi/van.
Both the train and Galle Road run North/South along the southwestern coast between Colombo and Galle. If you contact us, we will arrange comfortable transport for example from Colombo/the airport. If you choose to use the train, you get off at Kalutara South (the town).
From there, you can take a tuk-tuk/taxi. If you take the bus, you get off in Kalutara North and take a tuk-tuk/taxi down to the beach/Abrew Road nr. 253.
Follow our signs. You can also give us a call when you get off the train or the bus and we will meet you there and bring you to Petters’s Beach Inn.
