Petter’s Beach Inn is a nice Norwegian owned Guest House / Hotel with  a nice and good restaurant built in 2004/05 . It is situated by the beautiful beach at the south west coast (Kalutara North) 40 km South of Colombo.
 
The hotel consists of four houses and a nice garden. One house is fully equipped (two floors/ 260 square meters) with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, livingroom, kitchen and a 90 square meters terrace. Another house (one floor) have 5 nice rentable double rooms and a nice restaurant with a good kitchen. We also offer a large trippelroom in a separate bungalow with 2 fans, bathroom, cold/hot water, massage room, sitting group and with a big terrace facing the ocean on top of the bungalow. On this terrace, we also have a mini-pool with a shower.
All rooms are decorated with original paintings by famous Sri Lankan painters. All double rooms have A/C which is included in the price. The fourth house is mainly for the staff.
 
 
The beach is long and sandy with coconut palms. As an alternative to the nearby beach, we recommend our swimming pool.
 
 
The rooms are clean and hold a high, western standard. Nevertheless, we offer very reasonable prices.
 
The restaurant offers both western and eastern food, also at reasonable prices. Breakfasts are included in the price. If you want half board or full board, we also offer that. Please check our attractive prices. Our restaurant also offers a la cart menu.
 
You pay in cash (local currency, Euros, US dollars, GBP or NOK).
 
The Kalutara area is outside the Malaria mosquito area.
 
A daily breeze makes your stay comfortable even on the hottest days. The Kalutara area is also a perfect starting point for visiting other interesting places on this beautiful Island, like Colombo, Kandy, Hikkaduwa and Galle. We can arrange 1-2-3 day tours with A/C van, driver/guide and hotels, boat trips up the Kalutara river or out in the Indian ocean with or without fishing.
 
Kalutara town, Kalutara South ( only 1 km from Petter’s Beach Inn) is a typical middle sized Sri Lanka town that offers possibilities and insight in the real life in a Sri Lanka town. In this town, you will find exotic markets and shops. Very low prices! In the Kalutara area there is not much tourism.
 
 
 
 
If you will come directly from the airport to Petter's Beach Inn, we strongly advice you to use our airport pick-up. Tell us when you confirm your reservation.
If you choose not to use our airport pick-up or if you will arrive Petter's Beach Inn from other places in Sri Lanka, you can choose the train, a bus along Galle Road or a taxi/van.
Both the train and Galle Road run North/South along the southwestern coast between Colombo and Galle. If you choose to use the train, you get off at Kalutara South (the town). From there, you can take a tuk-tuk/taxi. If you take the bus, you get off in Kalutara North and take a tuk-tuk/taxi down to the beach/Abrew Road nr. 253. Follow our signs. You can also give us a call when you get off the train or the bus and we will pick you up and bring you to Petter’s Beach Inn.
